Local Immersive Encounters
Native American Honoring Journeys
Who is my neighbor? Perhaps one of the most overlooked people groups/tribes among us are our Native American neighbors. Their history and their stories are rich in culture, beauty, honor and mercy. Yet, their collective story is one of pain, brokenness, displacement, rejection and loss. Join us as we walk among our friends and neighbors, listening to their stories and their hearts, learning about their traditions and history, and holding their truths today. It will be beautiful, sacred as well as disrupting.
An American Pilgrimage
This “American Pilgrimage” is an amazing opportunity to immerse yourself in the history of American slavery and Jim Crow laws, in stories of the civil rights movement, and the past and present narratives of the Black community in America. This journey starts in New Orleans; and takes us through Jackson, MS; on to Selma, AL; and ending in Montgomery, AL. You will visit significant sites, learning at museums and memorials, and hearing from civil rights activists and faith and community leaders along the way.
